Daily Devotions for February 10th, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : MATTHEW 5 verse 8

Meditation : take the time to consider this verse….words of Jesus.
What is God saying to you this morning?
What is your response to God’s Word today?

Pray in response – to this Jesus.
As the Spirit searches your heart.

(Pray your own words at the start of this day
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of need)

O LORD our God,
Hear our prayers this day
As we lay ourselves before you
As your Spirit moves among us
As we seek to see you more and more
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessings on those known to you as pure in heart
O LORD, have mercy on us we call out and pour out your blessings

Evening
Reading : read the verse again prayerfully at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pray to God in response

Father God, hear my prayer this evening.
As I lay myself and this world before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen
.

Daily Devotions for Sunday 9th February, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : PSALM 119 verse 45

Meditation : take time and consider these words this Sunday morning.
What encourages and challenges you today?

And then pray in response to the LORD our God.
Use the verse as you turn to pray.

O LORD our God,
Good and majestic One,
Creator God,
Great and so worthy of praise.
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You.
Oh fill us with your Spirit afresh
For of ourselves we get it so wrong
Today and every day.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen
.

Midday
Pray the Prayer for the Month as your midday prayer

O Loving and Merciful God
Make us a People
Of Promised Land living
We call out

Believing your promises O LORD
Make us strong
Trusting your promises O God
Make us more like Jesus
Living out your promises O Lord
Send us out

In Jesus’ name
Amen

Evening
Reading : read this verse again from Psalm 119
Reflect on all that is said here in this one verse and then Pray in response to God

O LORD, our Great Creator God,
hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for what we read
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come #praise

As a church family we have been revisiting the 11 themes from the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture last Pentecost on a Saturday morning.

This morning we are invited to pause and pray in praise…

For who our God is!

For what He has done for us and for others!

Praise Him!
Praise Him!
To God be the glory!
