They Kingdom Come #Help

As part of the follow-up to the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture last year across the world, we pause as God’s people this weekend and consider the theme again of #help

Take a few minutes now – or when you are practically able -with God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit- and bring Him your weekend prayers for Help – for yourself and for others.

Father God
Help me when and where I ask you now.

Help those I name before you.

Help those I do not know in need right now. In Jesus name.. Amen.

UPPER Room Tuesday

Tomorrow – 7.30am-7.30pm – a place with space – for time out with God.

The room above the Kirkgate Café becomes the UPPER ROOM.

There is plenty of time and space for you – with sofas, Bibles, music, cushions, candles, a cross of thanksgiving and the Big Alpha prayer tree…..

There are offices of prayer together for 20-30 mins at 7.30am…12 noon and 7pm.

** There is a Church Gathering for Prayer in the Kirk at 7.30pm
as we hand BIG ALPHA over to God
.
(2 Chronicles 20 and Philippians 4.4 are worth a read if you are unable to join the Church Family)

** The Kirkgate Café will be open 9am-8pm.

Pray for Big Alpha

This morning we are encouraged to pause in prayer for this venture.

We are invited to name before God 3 people we have a desire to see meet with Jesus.

Father God, hear our prayers and with amazing grace give eternal life and salvation to those we name. May each and all meet with Jesus sooner rather than later. We ask these things in Jesus name,  Amen.

24-7 Prayer

Something to ponder from 24-7 Prayer after yesterday’s Focus Day.

“Be Still before the Lord, and wait patiently for Him…” – Psalm 37:7

God is present in our everyday, but sometimes, we just have to take a moment to encounter the Spirit at work.
So, wherever you are right now, stop to pray:

Ask God to help you wait.
So often when we pray, we don’t receive immediate answers. Lift one of these unanswered prayers to God, and ask for a renewed sense of patience and strength.

Invite God into your daily waiting.
Whether it’s waiting for the kettle to boil, a delayed train or a slow moment in your daily work, invite the Spirit to be present in these times. Use them to encounter God.

Memorise a verse.
Take time to remind yourself, and memorise, a Bible verse that will help you in times of impatience. You could even set a reminder to look at it each day.

Have a wonderful week,
The 24-7 Prayer Team
