Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : 1 John 3 verses 21-24
Meditation :  take time and consider all the truths found in these verses.
What encourages you? What challenges you? What needs your response?

and then pray honestly in response to live to please God – even today
O LORD God,
God of all truth and purity
Thank you for what I read
And that you are only a prayer away.
Thank you that You haven’t finished with me yet!
Help me to please You afresh this day.
In thought and word and action.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Take time to listen for God to speak with you today – ask, seek, knock – hear!
O LORD, thank you!

Evening

Reflect on how they apply to your life this evening and then Pray in response

Reading : 1 John 3 verses 16-20
Meditation : consider these verses…slowly…and what they mean to you today.
What is God saying to you?

And then Pray in response from the words for yourself – and for others.
O God,
Hear my prayer
And help me I ask
To be more like Jesus
In every loving way.
Amen we pray together this new day.

Pray for your Church to know Sunday blessings tomorrow!
LORD, bless us all real good we ask!

Meditation : consider these challenging verses…..what is God saying to you from them today?
What is your response?

And then Pray around the words of verse 11 to be a living reality for you

Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Meditation :   take time and consider all that John says here in these verses.
Is God reminding you of a truth or is He teaching you something new this morning?

Then take time to pray in response to what you have been reading and pondering

Reading : 1 John 3 verses 4-6
Meditation : take time to consider what is said here – about sin, sinners and Jesus.
What is God saying to you from the verses? Is He teaching you something new?

and then pray in response, with confession – and receive afresh from Him!
O LORD our God,
Hear our prayers of worship and confession this day.
Move among Your Church afresh we ask
With Your grace and justice, mercy and forgiving love
And may it all begin with me.
May we be careful
To give You all the praise and glory
As we see Your Kingdom come, Your will be done
According to Your love and outrageous grace through Jesus.
