Pray to hear and receive from Father God
Reading : Luke 16 verses 19-25
Meditation :   consider how God cares for the poor…..

and then Pray in response,
noticing the church in Revelation 3 verses 14-22 and what is said to them….

Pray for your friend no.3 on the list in your Catching the Wave booklet
Lord, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : Psalm 119 verses 137-144

Reflect on this verse at the end of your day…which promises do you hold onto?
and Pray in response to the LORD our faithful God

Tuesday is Upper Room day

Could this be a good place to visit during Lent?

Each Tuesday the hall above the Kirkgate Café becomes the Upper Room…..a place with space….comfy sofa, chairs, music, journals, readings…….time out with God…….from 7.30am to 7.30pm. You are very welcome to come and make use of this time and space as and when you want.

At 7.30-8.00am, 12.00-12.30pm and 7.00-7.30pm there are times to share with others in prayer and comment at the Daily Offices.  (Prayer for Lent – with believers from across the city – follows at 7.30pm on the 23rd)

The Café downstairs is open from 9.30am-2.00pm Monday – Thursday…..and 5.30-8.30pm on a Tuesday and 6-9pm on a Wednesday evening…..great menu…great prices…..and of course friendly staff!!

Pray in response for God’s Kingdom will to be seen and done in our lives and in our world
O LORD our God,
Hear our prayers,
Move among our sinful and needy world we ask
With Your grace and justice, mercy and forgiving love
And may we be careful
To give You all the praise and glory
As we see Your Kingdom come, Your will be done.

LORD, hear our prayers

Evening

Reading : Psalm 119 verse 136

Reflect on God’s heart towards our world and when we disobey Him and then pray in response

LORD God, King of all glory,
As we open our hearts to You this morning
Help us to see You – glorious and majestic!
Help us to rejoice and be glad in You
And to fear You aright in our faith
That You might shine on us anew – even by knowing more of Your truth.

Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word
And that You have not forgotten even me.
