MOPS – Mums Of Preschoolers

Toddlers is for Toddlers – MOPS is for Mums.

MOPS Mums Of PreSchoolers

COVID 19 update: Due to current Scottish Government guidelines we are unable to meet at present. We are doing all we can to be ready to start back when restrictions are lifted. We will update you when we have more information.

Don’t miss out – next meeting:TBC

What is MOPS?
MOPS is a space for Mums to take a break from ‘Mumming’ for a short while – a crèche is provided where you can drop off your preschooler and join other Mums in the hall next door for breakfast, chats and crafts.
Each week we have a different discussion topic based around the year’s theme. This year: To The Full

We come under the banner of mops.org – an organisation founded, in the USA, by Mums who wanted to get to know other Mums in their area and found themselves supporting and encouraging each other on their journey through motherhood.

MOPS is a church run organisation and but if you are not Christian we don’t mind! We welcome families from all backgrounds, and with all different experiences.

The Crèche
Our crèche is run by our lovely Assistant Youth Worker Emily and a team of volunteers who are all Mums and Grandmothers.
We have a large range of toys for the children and we have access to the Centre Court Garden for the rare fair weather day.
The children are in the room next door to where our Mums hang out, so if your child needs you the volunteers can easily find you – we understand that it can be daunting to leave your child with someone new.

**NB. we use the term ‘preschooler’ in the loosest form:  newborn – not quite at school yet**
