Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : JOHN 17 verses 6-19

Meditation : take time and consider all that is said by Jesus
What is God saying to you today from His Word?
What is your response to Him?

Pray to this God of ours in response
Including for others on a journey meeting God in these days

O Living LORD,
I read these words.
Help me let the Holy Spirit work out these truths
Even today.
May you guide and bless others
At this time in their lives
In our community
In our land
In our world
Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those preparing for marriage in 2020
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from JOHN 17
Reflect on the words and events here and pray in response to this Jesus

Living Lord, hear our evening prayers and receive our praise
As we believe and trust in you
For the large and the small things in our lives
For the world we live in.
For our tomorrows.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And then pray in response – as your day starts
including for others recently blessed by God

O LORD,
God of truth and love,
Have mercy we ask and hear our prayers
For others
For family
For neighbours and colleagues
For ourselves as your People in this world
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on those who walk through the cemetery land
Father God…hear our prayers and bless them each and all we ask.

Evening

Reflect on the verses and events at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this Jesus

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For those you have shown mercy to
Even today
As we name others known to us
In these uncertain times.
