Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : MARK 10 verses 13-16

Meditation : consider these particular words this morning.
Jesus’ words of blessing.
What words and images stay with you?
What is God saying to you today about His Kingdom as your day starts?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours

O LORD our God,
For every blessing you give
Thank you!
For those you will bless today
Thank you!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen and amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of the BRITISH RED CROSS in these days
LORD, hear our prayers and give blessing real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read these set verses again from MARK 10
Pause and reflect on what you read and then pray in response –
for yourself and for others

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers
As we thank you for your blessings in our lives
Even today
Bless those children and young people we name before you this evening
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

For family and friends

For all medical centres in our villages and towns and cities at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Peter, James, John and Jesus on a high mountain.
What words stay with you? What is God saying to you from His Word?
Is there somewhere you go to take time-out with God?

And then Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time to wait before God

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words
And now I pray for you to work them out
as a living reality in my life – even today
as I thank you that you are with me
on my journey through life.
In Jesus’ name.
