Daily Devotions for Wednesday 7th July, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : PSALM 17

Meditation : consider these particular words this morning.
The Prayer of an Innocent Man.
What words and images stay with you?
What is God saying to you today as your day starts?
Is there a response God is asking of you?

And then pray in response – to this God of ours
Looking again at verses 1 and 2 as you turn to prayer
For yourself and for another

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on the Chilean Bible Society
LORD, hear our prayers and give blessings real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these set verses again from PSALM 17
Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response –
for yourself and for others

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers
As we thank you for your call on our lives
As we lay down to sleep
For we believe and trust in you
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

On this first Tuesday of the month…as the nation continues to journey forward out of Lockdown and wrestle with new cases and variants..along with other nations in our world…. you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world

For family and friends and neighbours

For the supply of vaccines across the world – sooner rather than later

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making
