Daily Devotions for Friday December 11th, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : MATTHEW 26 verses 17-30

Meditation : consider these words this morning about the Kingdom of God.
The Passover. The Lord’s Supper.
What do they mean for you in your life?
Is this your hope?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray with confidence to our God of Kingdom come

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who work in Education at this time
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from MATTHEW 26
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
We thank you for coming to earth from heaven
We thank you for the promised hope you give
And we ask you to bless those in need of forgiveness and hope this evening
Amen.

A Call to Thursday Evening Prayer

As part of the Kirk’s rhythm of prayer and devotion we invite people to pause and pray each day.

We offer a Daily Devotions Bible reading each morning and a focus for midday prayer.

At this time in your Thursday you are invited to pause and pray as the day closes.

You may wish to revisit MATTHEW 25.31-46 and consider what Jesus said here.
You may need to name others before Father God.
You may want to be still with God as you look back on your day.
