Meditation : consider these familiar verses…can you picture all that happens here?!
What is God saying to you today?

And then Pray in response – even singing with the angels??

Pray God’s blessing on new church ministers/leaders in our land…in our world…
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask 

Evening

Reading : read these verses again from Luke 2

Reflect slowly on the words you have just read and pray in response
Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers…as we pray again for peace on earth.

Reading : Luke 2 verses 1-7
Meditation :   take time and consider this historical event. What does it mean for you?

Then take time to pray in response to the God who planned it all.

O Sovereign God, hear our morning prayers.

Pray for all those attending/running Alpha groups in our churches….in our world….
Lord, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Reflect on what happened many years ago and what it means for you.

and Pray in response to God, thanking Him for His plans and purposes for your life

What strikes you the most from these verses?

O LORD God,
Thank you for Elizabeth, Zachariah and John.
Thank you that you are involved in my life
And those whom I love and care for.
Do great things I ask
And may Your kingdom come, Your will be done
Above all else.

Pray in response to live to please God – more than any other

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,

Thank you for a life surrendered to You.

Use even me I ask.

LORD God, our great God,
Who does great and awesome things!

I thank You.
Now with my trust and hope in You alone,
Even for those things that cause me fear and concern at the end of this day,

LOOKING INTO LUKE

Pray in response – to be a bringer of good news – even today!

LORD God,
Thank you for the way you work in our lives.
As we open our hearts to You this morning
Teach us more of Your truth
And use even us to bring good news to family and friends and colleagues and neighbours!

Pray for Church cafes and all involved in running them in our country
LORD, hear our prayers!

Pray afresh for peace in our world.
