WHAT ABOUT THE CHURCH?

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : Revelation 2 verses 8-11
Meditation : take time and consider this part of the Bible and this letter to the church in Smyrna.
What is God saying to you today?

Pray in response for your church.

O Father God,
Speak to our church in these days
As you have done and will do
until Jesus returns!
O give us open ears to hear what you are saying
and willing hearts to respond.
In Jesus’ name I ask, Amen.

Midday

Pray God’s blessings on our uniformed organisations – leaders and members.
Lord, hear our prayers

Evening

Reading : read these verses again

Reflect on what God is saying here and what He has been saying to your church in these days.
Then Pray in praise to Him at the end of this month, giving thanks for His amazing grace and gift of eternal salvation in and through Christ Jesus.
And for His worldwide Church – even yours!

LORD God, our God, hear our evening prayers, as we return our thanks to You.

Meditation :  take time and consider these verses about the church in Ephesus.
What is God saying to you?     

and then pray humbly in response for your church

O LORD God,
As I read these words
Bless the Church today
And may our love be first and foremost for Jesus.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you even at this time of the day
O LORD, our God, hear our cry!

Evening

Reading : read these 7 verses again from Revelation 2

Reflect on the words and then Pray in response to the Head of the Church
O LORD, hear our prayers we ask.

 

HOW DO I RESIST EVIL?

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : Revelation 20 verses 7-10
Meditation : consider the teaching here in this part of the Bible.
What is God saying to you?

and Pray in response to be on the right side of heaven’s victory.
O God of Perfect Truth,
Hear my morning prayer
And by Your Spirit’s help
Make me a person of victory.
Amen we pray together in Jesus’ name.

Midday

Pray for the Church in our land to know Sunday blessings tomorrow!
O LORD, hear our prayers we ask.

Evening

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on their meaning and then Pray
LORD God, our God, hear our prayers at the end of this day.

HOW DO I RESIST EVIL?

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading :   Ephesians 6 verses 10-20
Meditation : take time and consider again the teaching given here by Paul about God’s provision of armour for the spiritual battle we are in.

Pray to this God for it all to be true for you – pray piece by piece.
O God of truth,
I read
But help me believe
And trust in You,
Even in the height of battle,
When the enemy is so near
And I am so weak.
Thank you thank you for every piece of your armour!
I claim the victory won by Jesus – for my life – now!
Amen – we pray together.

Pray God’s blessing on someone you know to meet with Jesus
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask 

Evening

Reading : read this passage again from Ephesians 6

Reflect on verses 10-13 and pray in response to this God of warfare
LORD of Lords, hear our evening prayers.

Reading : 2 Corinthians 2 verses 5-11
Meditation :   take time and consider all that is taught in this passage.
What is God saying to you today?

then pray humbly in response – to the God of outrageous grace

(Pray your own words to the LORD God
In worship and thanks for what you have read,
In confession and need to be more like Jesus,
For yourself and for others.)
O LORD, receive our praise and hear our prayers.

Lord, hear our prayers we ask.

Evening

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on verses 7 and 11
and Pray in response to this God of forgiveness
O Gracious LORD, hear our evening prayers

 

HOW DO I RESIST EVIL?

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : Romans 7 verses 7-25
Meditation : take time to consider these honest words of struggle – from Paul!
What is God saying to you from them?

Then humbly and honestly pray in response…to stand firm in Christ Jesus.
O LORD our God,
Powerful and eternal God,
God of hope beyond death,
Thank you for these words
And all they teach me.
May Jesus truly be the centre of my life
Today and every day.
Amen and amen!
