WHY AND HOW DO I PRAY?

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : Psalm 5
Meditation :  take time and consider all that these verses say.
Which verse speaks to you the most? Why?

and then take time to pray with God in response
O LORD God,
As I read these words
Hear my morning prayer to You
And through this day may I know You are with me.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday

Pray for the children/youth in your church to know Sunday blessings!
O LORD, our God, hear our cry!

Evening

Reading : read this Psalm again

Reflect on the words again at the end of your day and then Pray in response to this God
O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask.

 

HOW CAN I HAVE FAITH?

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : Revelation 3 verses 20-22
Meditation : consider what is said here in this part of the Bible…who says what to whom?
What is Jesus saying to you here?

and Pray in response to Him in your own words.
Amen.

Midday

Pray for the Church in our land to know Sunday blessings tomorrow!
O LORD, hear our prayers we ask!

Evening

Reading : read these 3 verses again

Reflect on what is said and then Pray in response to the One who spoke
Living Lord, hear our prayers at the end of this day.

HOW CAN I HAVE FAITH?

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading :   1 John 1 verses 1-4
Meditation : take time and slowly consider what is said here by John in this part of the Bible.
What does it mean to you today?

Pray in response to this God
O God of truth,
I read these words
Help me believe and trust in You
And receive from You!
May Your Holy Spirit work in and through Your people,
As You have across the years!
Amen – we pray together.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on worship leaders/groups in our land.
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask

Reflect on what John says and what they mean for you and then pray in response
Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers.

Meditation :   take time and consider what these words teach you about faith.
What is God saying to you from here and what is your response??

O God of grace
I believe, help my unbelief!
I trust, help my trust in You to deepen!
I am here, help me be willing to go where you want me
That others might meet Jesus
Even through me – even today!

and Pray in response to this God of grace and of salvation by faith

HOW CAN I HAVE FAITH?

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : Acts 4 verses 1-12
Meditation : take time and consider these verses and who says what.
What is God saying to you here?

then pray in response….for yourself and for others
O LORD our God,
Eternal and gracious God,
God of Peter and of John,
Thank you for these words
And all they teach me.
May my faith be in Jesus alone as Saviour
And may I have courage to speak up for Him – even today.

O LORD, hear our prayers

Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : John 20 verses 24-31
Meditation : take time and consider what is said here – especially in vs 30+31
What is God saying to you here?

Pray in response to be ever believing
Lord Jesus,
I believe
Help my unbelief….Even now…
And make me truly ever ready to see You again…face-to-face.
In Your name I ask, Amen.

Take time to listen for God to speak with you…..ask..seek..knock…..hear!
O Lord…..thank You!

Evening

Reflect….on the truths and then Pray….to the Lord
O Risen Lord, hear my prayer of faith.
