A Healthy Tree.
Bad Fruit.

What is God teaching/reminding you today?
What is your response to His words?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Humbly
Honestly

Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and give help we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from MATTHEW 7 verses 15-20
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
And bring comfort and hope to those in need this evening we ask.

What do they mean for you at this time?
Which road are you on?

Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts
Looking again at verse 14
Naming others on their road at this time

Reflect on the words spoken here – and what God is saying to you now.

O LORD, hear our evening prayers as this day closes
As we praise you for who You are
As we return our thanks to You for help received today
As we humbly confess our sins
As we name others on their journey in life

Taking time to pause and listen for God’s answer to you

I call to the LORD for help;
I plead with him.
I bring him all my complaints;
I tell him all my troubles.

Forgive my sins
As I forgive those who have sinned against me
Even today
In Jesus’ name,

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask, seek, knock….hear!

Do not Worry.
But seek first…

What words stay with you?
What is God teaching/reminding you today?
What is your response?

Then Pray with honest and humble words in response to the LORD our God

Praise the LORD!
Sing a new song to the LORD;
praise him in the assembly of his faithful people!
Be glad, Israel, because of your Creator;
rejoice, people of Zion, because of your king!
Praise his name with dancing;
play drums and harps in praise of him.

O LORD our God
Teach us
Help us
Strengthen us
Guide us
Even this day
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the Church in Scotland
O God of grace and mercy and rich blessing, hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from MATTHEW chapter 6 verses 25-34

Reflect on what you read and then pray to our God in response

The LORD takes pleasure in his people;
he honours the humble with victory.
Let God’s people rejoice in their triumph
and sing joyfully all night long.

And so to you, O God, we bring our evening words of prayer
As we thank you for the blessings of this day

Sunday Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into a new week….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from MATTHEW chapter 6 verses 16-24– as we start to consider TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Sunday – to us and to others in our SEEPG group of churches

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family, and our nation and in our world at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow
