Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : MARK 16 verses 1-8

Meditation : take time and consider this part of the Jesus story this morning.
What does it mean for you today?

And then pray in response – as your day starts
including for others feeling hopeless at this time

O LORD,
God of resurrection hope,
Have mercy we ask and hear our prayers
For others
For family
For neighbours and colleagues
For ourselves
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of Christian Aid in our world
Father God…hear our prayers and bless this work we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from MARK 16
Reflect on the verses and events at the end of your day
and Pray in response to God – our God of resurrection!

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For those you have given hope to
Even today
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

O LORD our God,

For sending Jesus
JESUS
Thank you that you came.
HOLY SPIRIT
Teach us more and more about His lovely name
In Jesus’ name we pray this new day
Amen and amen!

Pray God’s blessing on the work of Self Help Africa in our world
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless this work real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from MATTHEW 26
Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

LORD God, merciful God, our God, hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for all you have provided this day
As we thank you for your guiding hand this day
As we look ahead to seeing You one day!
