Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : MATTHEW chapter 1 verses 22+23

Meditation : take time and consider these words this morning.
Promised hope from yesteryear!
What do they mean for you?

Then pause to pray for others to hear of this Good News

O LORD, hear our prayers
As we name others before you at this time.
Bless them
Reach them
Even today.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on new families in our community
God of grace…hear our prayers and pour a blessing we ask on each at this time

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from yesteryear in Matthew 1
Reflect on the words and images – at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this God – our God who has come to us

O God Immanuel, hear our evening prayers
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reading : JOEL chapter 2 verses 28-32

Meditation : take time to consider what God is saying here through Joel.
What are you challenged and encouraged by this morning?

Then take the time to Pray to this God, our God of promise
Look again at the verses as you turn to prayer

O LORD
Our God
Hear our cry!
Pour out Your Spirit on us!
In Jesus’ Name
Amen!

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the work of Safe Families
O LORD God, have mercy on each and all and hear our prayers this day.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Joel 2 verses 28-32
Reflect on the words…. And then pray to the LORD our God

Hear our evening prayers, O Spirit of God, as this day ends.
We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves before You.
Have your way among us!

Taking time to pause and listen for God’s answer to you

And help me
Help us
To take you at your promised Word

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask, seek, knock….hear!
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the set verses again from Ezekiel 36
Reflect on the words…. and then Pray….to the LORD our God

God of Ezekiel, our God,
We bring our evening worship to you
As we lay ourselves and our church before you
As we acknowledge what you are saying to us at this time
