Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : GENESIS chapter 2 verses 4-25

Meditation : take the time to consider these words again on this new day
Adam
Eve

What is God saying to you from His written Word today?
What is your response?

We can but worship you this day O LORD our Creator
We can but ask for those in need or trouble this day O LORD
As we call out to you for our world in these days
Keep us close to Jesus we ask
In His name we pray, Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask and seek and knock……and hear
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from GENESIS chapter 2 verses 4-25
Reflect…. and then Pray as your day closes

God of Adam and of Eve and the God of today,
My God, our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for your help today
As we journey from today to tomorrow
As we name others we care about before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Meditation : take the time to consider these familiar words again on this particular day

God said…..

What is your response to God’s Word today?
Pray in response – to our God , the God who is our Creator God

Pray your own words at the start of this new year
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of need – for yourself and others

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessings on family and friends and neighbours
O LORD, have mercy on each and all and give blessings we ask

Evening
Reading : read the set passage again prayerfully at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pray to this Creator God in response

LORD God, the LORD Almighty, hear my prayer this evening.
As I thank you for the blessings of this day
As I call out to you for others
As I lay myself and this world before you
Trusting you for all that lies ahead in 2024
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Sunday Evening Prayer with Others

As we journey through this final day of the year….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from MATTHEW 3 verses 1-17 – as we conclude considering TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as this day and year close….

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Sunday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, Somalia and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for the days ahead

O God of Kingdom Life
We bow before you
We believe in you
We trust in you
As we step forward
We offer you our songs of praise
This particular day
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
