Daily Devotions for Sunday 17th November, 2019

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : PSALM 131

Meditation : take time to consider this very short psalm on this Sunday.
What words or images stay with you?
What is your response to God’s written Word this morning?

And then pray in response,
Taking the time to be still and quiet,
Using these verses as part of your own Sunday prayer

In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Midday
Pray for your church family to know God’s Sunday blessings
O LORD, our God, hear our cry and pour out Your blessing we ask!

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Psalm 131
LORD, our God,
We bring our evening sacrifice of praise to you.
As we return our thanks to you
As we acknowledge You our Saviour and Help even this day.
As we pray for others known to us
To know of Jesus.
In His saving name, Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come #toJesus

As a church family at Liberton Kirk we have been revisiting the 11 themes from the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture earlier in the year. We are pausing to do so on a Saturday morning.

Today we are invited to pray for others known to us to meet with Jesus and to experience the Kingdom of God as a living reality in their lives.

Father God
As we name others before you
Have mercy
Give salvation
According to your amazing grace
In Jesus’ name
Amen.
