Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : GENESIS 49 verses 1-28

Meditation : take time and consider these last words of Jacob this morning.
What do they mean for you today?

Then pray in response – as your day starts

(Pray your own words to the LORD God
In worship and thanks for what you have read,
In confession and need to be more like Jesus,
And to speak up for Him – even today while there is time.)

O LORD, receive our praise and hear our prayers
As we give thanks to you
As we look back, around and forward
As we name others before you
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those preparing for a family funeral
God of compassion and comfort…hear our prayers and pour a blessing we ask

Evening
Reading : read these words again
Reflect on the words and images – at the end of your day
and Pray in response to this God – our God
O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we look upward and forward.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God of grace and mercy…and hope, hear our prayers.

Reflect on the words and images …. And then pray to the Father God
Hear our evening prayers, O God our Father
As this day ends and worship in heaven continues for ever!
We believe and trust in You and lay ourselves and others before You!
