A Call to Sunday Evening Prayer

You are invited to pause and pray with others from our Church Family as you prepare to step into a new week

You may want to revisit the Daily Devotions for today – LUKE 4 vs 38-41

You may need to name others before Father God

You may want to be still in God’s Presence – and receive from Him

Pause to Pray with Others

On this particular Sunday..in this season of Lent…as the nation journeys through this further stage of Lockdown.. you are invited to pause and pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.

You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus

For family and friends and neighbours

For all church leaders in our villages and towns and cities at this time

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making

Daily Devotions for Sunday 14th March, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : LUKE 4 verses 38-41

Meditation : take time and consider these words this Sunday morning.
Jesus heals many people.
What words or images stay with you?
What encourages and challenges you today?

And then pray in response to the LORD our God who heals
Naming others in need at this time

O LORD our God,
Thank you for your healing touch to many
Hear us as we name others before you
Have mercy we call out
Even today
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday

Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

Jesus
Saviour and Friend
Bearer of our sins and griefs
Bring God’s perfect peace

Jesus
Lord and Friend
Faithful in our storms
Help us – we call out

Jesus
Our Strong Friend
Carry and shield us
As we pray to You

Amen

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from LUKE 4
Reflect on all that is said here in this passage and then Pray in response to this Jesus

O Lord Jesus
Thank you for what we read
Thank you for your healing touch to many
Bless those we name before you
Amen.
