Daily Devotions for Monday 22nd June, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : EPHESIANS 1 verses 13 and 14

Meditation : take time to consider this part of Paul’s letter.
The promised Holy Spirit.
What encourages or challenges you today?
Which part of these verses will you hold onto today?

Pray in response to what you have read
Reading again the words as you turn to prayer

Spirit of the living God
Fall afresh on me
Spirit of the living God
Fall afresh on us

In and through Christ Jesus, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on our children and young people at this time
O LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these words again from EPHESIANS 1.13+14
Reflect on the truths written here and then Pray in response

‘For a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit
On the people of God
All over the world,
And in all worship traditions.
For a readiness to be changed and made new;
For a softening of the ground of our hearts
To receive without fear.’

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come #thanks

As a Church we recently took part in the global prayer venture of Thy Kingdom Come.
This ran during the 11 days between Ascension and Pentecost.

Each Saturday at 12 noon we are continuing to ask and seek and knock on Heaven’s door…..Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done…..and to pray for up to 5 people we know to meet with Jesus and to experience God’s Kingdom reign in their lives.

This week we focus on the theme of THANKS as we pause to pray.

Give thanks with a grateful heart

To Father God

For His good gifts to you this past week
