Thy Kingdom Come was a prayer venture earlier this year in our land and across our world.

We have been pausing each Saturday morning at 8am to revisit the 11 themes raised by the leaders.

Today we are encouraged to bring to God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – our prayers for others
For His Kingdom purposes
For His royal will to be done in their lives

O LORD
LORD God
God of grace and mercy

Today we pray
for others known to us
for those we will meet today
for refugees
and others from overseas
in our city
in our community
on our street

In Jesus’ name
Amen!

Daily Devotions for Saturday 15th September, 2018

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : MATTHEW 7 verses 15-20
Meditation : consider again what is said here by Jesus about good fruit/bad fruit.
What is He saying to you today?

And then Pray in response to live afresh to please God – even today

O God,
Hear my prayer
And help me I ask
To be more like Jesus
And to let Your Spirit at work in me
From the inside out
In every way.

Amen we pray together this new day.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who are the victims of others’ bad decisions
Father God, hear our prayers and have mercy we ask on each and all

Evening
Reading : read the verses again
Reflect on these words at the end of your day…. and then Pray to Father God
LORD God, our God, hear our evening prayers.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Meditation : consider these verses as your day starts.
What do they mean for you today?

Spirit of God,
Help me

To make these words a living reality

Pray God’s blessing on those who are suffering from others’ judgment
Father God, hear our prayers and have mercy we ask

Evening
Reading : read these words again
Reflect slowly on the words you have just read and pray in response
Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers.

How would you describe your prayer life at this time?

Lord, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Meditation : take time and consider these challenging words from Jesus.
What do they teach you?
What is God asking of you today?

And then pray in response – with honesty and humility

O LORD our God,
Hear our prayers
As we ask for your Holy Spirit to move among us afresh
With Your grace and justice, mercy and forgiving love
Even today.

O Lord, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
