Meditation : take time and consider these verses this morning about being a servant of God.
What words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today?

Take time to Pray in response – including for those who work and serve in your Church

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask and seek and knock……and hear
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from 1 Corinthians 3
Reflect…. and then Pray as your day closes
God of Paul and the God of today,
My God, our God,
Hear our evening prayers.

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit
Reading : ROMANS chapter 8

Meditation : prayerfully consider these verses…rich in truth and promise.
What do they mean for you today?
What is God saying to you this morning?
Which words will you hold onto through this day?

Pray in response – to our God of amazing blessings
And receive from Him a Romans 8 gift.

Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of need)

Midday
Pray God’s blessings on those suffering mental health issues
O LORD, have mercy on all we call out and pour rich blessings!

Evening
Reading : read Romans 8 again prayerfully at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pray to God in response..noting verses 26 and 27
Father God, hear my prayer this evening.
As I humbly trust in Jesus, my Saviour.

Reading : ACTS chapter 15

Meditation : take time and consider these words and events this Sunday morning.
What words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today from His Word this morning?
What is your response to Him?

and then pray in response to the Lord, the Head of the Church

O Lord Jesus,
Great and so worthy of praise.
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You.
Oh fill us with your Spirit
For of ourselves we get it so wrong
Today and every day!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those preaching in our land today
O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and pour out blessings we ask!

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Acts 15
Reflect on all that is said and then Pray in response to this God
O LORD, our Great God, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for what we read and for Your Church
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

ThyKingdomCome #toJesus

Thy Kingdom Come was a prayer venture earlier this year in our land and across our world.

We have been pausing each Saturday morning at 8am to revisit the themes raised by the leaders.

Today we are encouraged to bring to Jesus others known to us
our families
our neighbours
our colleagues at work
our friends and those we spend time with
our local shopkeepers and businesses

May they experience the Kingdom of God in their lives and circumstances – as it is in heaven.

O Lord
Hear our cry
Have mercy
Surprise them
With a blessing
Even today
Amen!

Daily Devotions for Saturday 11th August, 2018

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit
Reading : ACTS chapter 13

Meditation : take time to consider these verses and the people mentioned here.
What do you see?
What is God saying to you today?

And then Pray in response to this God.

O LORD God,
I read
I believe
I worship You
With cries of joy.
Oh this day
Help me to keep my eyes upward, inward and outward
And look for Your hand at work in others.
Amen we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those seeking to know God’s Kingdom will
And for Big Alpha coming in the autumn
God of grace and mercy hear our prayers and bless all real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this passage again
Reflect on your God…. and then Praise Him in your evening Prayer
LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are!
For all you have done for us!
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our community, in our city.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus
Reading : ACTS 10 verse 1 – chapter 11 verse 18

Meditation : consider all that happens here as your day starts!
What is God saying to you today?
Which words will you hold on to today?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Invite and allow the Holy Spirit to bring words and images to your mind.
Pray with confidence to our God, Lover of the whole world

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who have left home to serve God
Father God, hear our prayers, show mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read the passage again
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response
Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers
And may we be a people who keep in step with the Holy Spirit.
