Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus.
Reading : PSALM 23

Meditation : take time to consider these familiar words afresh this Saturday morning.
What images or words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today from His Word?

Pray in response to Him…our Good Shepherd
For yourself and for others at this time

Oh God,
Our good God,
Thank you for what we read
And all you promise here.
Hear our prayers
And guide us through this day we ask
In Jesus’ name – Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those struggling with family life at this time
Father God, hear our prayers, give wisdom and patience and bless them real good we ask.


Evening
Reading : read these 6 verses again
Reflect prayerfully on the words and images ….. and then Pray in response
Especially for others who feel lost, in need of being restored or going through a dark valley
Spirit of the Living God, hear our evening prayers at the end of this day
And be with those we name before you.
In Jesus’ saving name, Amen.

Reading : JOB 42

Meditation : take time to consider these words as your day starts.
Job has suffered much – and not always been given good advice from others
(chapters 1 is worth a read sometime) – But what a final chapter!
What does it teach you? Is there something you need to thank God for today?
What is your response to God’s Word from Job?

Take time out with God in Prayer in response – as God leads you
Praying and Praising!

Look at chapter 24 verses 1-4.
What is God saying to you today and what is your response to Him?

Take time to Pray in response to the God of Judah – our God

LORD God
Great and Glorious,
Perfect and Trustworthy,
Right and Pure,
As we read these words from yesteryear
So teach us
Show us our failings
And hear our cry for Your people
Your Church in these days

Ponder again verses 12 and 13 in chapter 19.

Then take time to Pray with this God, our God.
Listening for His voice.
Asking Him to speak with you
Telling Him exactly how it is for you in your life

O LORD God, have mercy on those we name before you and hear our prayers this day.

Reflect on the words and images …. and pray to the God who was with Elijah – our God.
Hear our evening prayers, O God.
As we name our battles before You
And as we still ourselves with You at the end of this day.

As we lay ourselves before you.

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day – where you are
Ask, seek, knock……hear
Father God…thank you.

Reflect on the images and words – and then Pray in response

Words of worship and praise – for who God is
Words of trust and thanks – for what God has done today for you
Words of hope and longing – for what God will do in and through you – even tomorrow)
