Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord
Reading : 2 CORINTHIANS 6 vs 3-13

Meditation : take time and consider these verses this morning about Paul’s hardships.
What words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today and what is your response?

Take time to Pray in response – for others who work and serve and struggle in Christian life and work

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask and seek and knock……and hear
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from 2 Corinthians 6
Reflect…. and then Pray as your day closes

God of Paul and the God of today,
My God, our God,
Hear our evening prayers
For John and Lindsay
And those in our city who serve you.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Meditation : consider these particular verses about God’s ministry.
What words or images stay with you?
What is God saying to you this morning?

Pray in response – to this God of reconciliation

(Pray your own words of honesty at the start of this day
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
For others and for yourself)

Pray God’s blessings on the Christian believers in Palestine
O LORD, have mercy on all we call out and pour rich blessings!

Evening
Reading : read these verses again prayerfully at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pray to God in response

Father God, hear my prayer this evening.
As I humbly trust in Jesus, my Saviour.

Morning

Reading : 2 CORINTHIANS 5 vs 1-10

Meditation : take time and consider these great words and images as your Sunday starts.
Look again at verses 7-10.
What is God saying to you today from His Word this morning?

and then pray to our God in response – with thanksgiving and hope!

O LORD God,
Great and so worthy of praise.
We bow before You.
We lay our lives before You
Just as we are.
And fill us with hope
Of what is still to come!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray a blessing on the Church in our city
and on the shops and businesses in our community
O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and pour out a blessing on all we ask!

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from 2 Corinthians 5
Reflect on all that is said and then Pray in response to this God

O LORD, our Father God, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for what we read.
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those we are concerned about.
