Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : PSALM 47

Meditation : take time to consider these verses and the images given!

What do you see? What is God saying to you today?

And then Pray in response to this LORD Most High. 

O LORD God,
I read
I believe
I worship You
With cries of joy
With songs of praise
With this psalm of praise!
Oh this day
Help me to keep my eyes upward
And exalt You above all else.

Amen we pray together.

Pray God’s blessing on those who are new to our Kirk family
And for Big Alpha coming in the autumn

God of grace and mercy hear our prayers and bless all real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read this Psalm again – with joyful praise!

Reflect on your God…. and then Praise Him in your evening Prayer

LORD God, our God, receive our praise
For who You are!
For all you have done for us!
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world.

What is God saying to you today about Himself?
Which words will you hold on to today? 

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Invite and allow the Holy Spirit to bring words and images to your mind.
Pray with confidence to our God, our refuge and strength.

What is in your heart and on your tongue at this time in life?

then pray in response as your day starts
speaking out your heart’s desire and deepest need at this time

O LORD, hear our various prayers this morning
And be not far from us we ask.
Grant us the joy of the LORD this day!

Reflect on their meaning for you and pray in response…to the God of truth and grace

And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sinned against us even today.
