Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God
Reading : PSALM 40
Meditation : consider what is said here…as you wait before God at the start of the day. What words stay with you? How will you put God’s Word into practice?
And then Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time to wait before God – or making a plan to do so when possible.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words
And now I pray for you to work them out
as a living reality in my life – even today.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Read Psalm 40 somewhere in quietness…..and wait….
Father God…thank you.
Evening
Reading : read the verses again from Psalm 40
Reflect prayerfully on these written words…. And then pray as your day closes
LORD God, our great God,
For all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern.
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word
As I wait for tomorrow.
