Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : ACTS 15 verses 36-41 

Meditation : consider these particular 6 verses – and the argument they speak of.    What words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today as your day starts? 

And then pray in response – to our God who has plans far above our own

O LORD our God,
Forgive us,
Help us,
Hear us
And answer our deepest prayers,
As we work to see Your Kingdom come,
Your will being done above all else.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen and amen!

Pray God’s blessing on the Evening Worship Group at LK

LORD, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Reading : read these few verses again

Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response – for those you serve with in church life and work – and for those in our church leadership

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers.
And bless all we name before you we ask.

Meditation : consider what is said here…and this particular letter.
What do the words mean for you today?

And then Pray in response to what you have read

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words
And now I pray for you to work them out
as a living reality in my life – even today.

In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day

Father God…thank you. 

Evening

Reading : read the verses again from Acts 15

Reflect on these written words…. And then pray as your day closes

LORD God, our great God,
Bless those I name before You this evening
My neighbours, friends and colleagues
And ALL those in your Church.
For all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern even this day,
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word.

In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.

Tuesday will be UPPER Room day once again.

A day with an opportunity for time-out with God in the space above the Kirkgate Café.

The Room will be open 7.30am-7.30pm….with a variety of aids and resources available…….with sofas, chairs and cushions freely ready!

There are optional times of prayer together at 7.30am, 12 noon and 7pm.
It would be good if you can meet with others briefly at any of these times.
Or if not, why not try and pray where you are at those times?

The café is open below 9.30am-8pm.

** Will you make use of this opportunity – a time of quietness and praying – listening and asking?

Meditation : take time to carefully consider this meeting at Jerusalem – as your day starts.    Look again at verses 10 and 11.
What is God saying to you today?
What is your response to Him?

Pray in response
Including for those new in faith
And for our Ministry Team

LORD God,
Have mercy on all we ask.
Give wisdom and grace
And hear our morning prayers

As we return our thanks to you for the blessings of this day.
