Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : ACTS 2 verses 5- 13

Meditation : consider these words this morning – can you imagine the scene!   What is your answer to the question of verse 12?

And then bring your morning prayer to God

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words.
And bring my morning prayer to you.
I wait for You to amaze and astonish me – even today!

In Jesus’ Name
Amen.

Midday

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask…..seek….knock…….hear.

Lord, thank you. 

Evening 

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on these words…. and pray in response as they speak to you

LORD God, our great God,
Hear our evening prayer.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God, the Eternal One

Reading : ACTS 2 verses 1-4

Meditation : picture the scene as you consider these verses today.
What happens here?
What is God saying to you today?

Pray to God in response, asking for a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit – even today

O LORD God
Giver of good gifts
Hear our prayer.
Hear our cry.
Hear our deepest sigh. 

Amen we pray together this day.

Pray God’s blessing on the persecuted Church in the Philippines
O LORD, have mercy and hear our prayers! 

Evening

Reading : read the chosen verses again

Reflect on their meaning and pray to this God who sent His Holy Spirit – and still does.

Father God, hear our evening prayers.

What do you learn about these servants of the Early Church?
What is God saying to you today?

Help me to serve another – today.

What does this mean for you? What is God saying to you today?
What is your response to Him? 

Take time to Pray in response…..to this Jesus….for the Spirit to empower.
And for those who are His witnesses in the corners of our world

O Spirit of God,
Fall upon us afresh!
