Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : EXODUS 22 verses 16-31

Meditation :  take time and consider these words of instruction.
What is God saying to you from them today?

and then pray to this God in response

O LORD God,
God of all truth and purity
Thank you for what I read.
Help me to please You afresh this day
With the help of your Holy Spirit
In thought and word and action.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday

Pray for a church near your home to know Sunday blessings
O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and pour out a blessing!

Evening

Reading : read these verses again

Reflect on how they apply to your life and then Pray in response to Father God

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : EXODUS 22 verses 1-15

Meditation : take time to consider these verses given to God’s people about property laws.
What is God saying to you today?

And then Pray in response to Him – about your property and possessions

O God,
I read
I believe
I lay all I have before You
Teach and help and guide me
Use all I am and have
Even this day

Amen we pray together.

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer
(See Matthew chapter 6 or online under the Prayer tab on LK website)

God of grace and mercy…and hope, hear our prayers.

Evening

Reading : read the set verses again

Reflect on the truths given in these words…. and then Pray to this God

LORD God, our God, hear our prayers
As we thank you for all you have given us
And as we give it all back to you
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.

What do they teach you?
What is your response to what you read and considered?

Reflect on these words again…. And then pray as your day closes

LORD God, our great God,
Bless those I name before You this evening
My neighbours, friends and colleagues.
And for all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern even this day,
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word.
