Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God,
the Eternal One

Reading : 1 Peter 2 verse 18 – ch.3 verse 7

Meditation : consider these verses today.
What was God saying through Peter and what is He saying to you today?

Pray to God in response, with thanksgiving

LORD God,
As I open my heart and mind to You this morning
Teach me more of Your truth
And how to live with integrity in these days.
Amen we pray together this day.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on the suffering Church in Nigeria
O LORD, have mercy and hear our prayers! 

Evening

Reading : read the chosen verses again

Reflect on their meaning and pray to this God who sent Jesus
Father God, hear our evening prayers.

Meditation :  consider carefully these verses again
Which words stay with you?
What is God’s Word saying to you today?

And then Pray in response to God

Father God
Teach us to pray anew
And hear our prayers this day
That Your kingdom come, your will is done
In our city
In our nation
In our world.
Amen.

Pray for the Spirit of God to bring Kingdom blessings to Edinburgh
Amen and Amen, O God.

Evening

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on their meaning for you and then pray….. with confidence in Father God
O LORD God, hear our evening prayers.

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : 1 Peter 2 verses 16 and 17

Meditation : take time and consider these words from Peter.
What was he saying to his readers?
What is God saying to you today?

Pray in response…to what you have read

Spirit of God
Fall anew on me
Fill me with God’s wondrous love
And guide my daily steps
At work, rest and play
This day I pray
As this month begins
in Jesus’ Name.

Pray for the Spirit of God to bring Kingdom blessings to Scotland
God of grace and mercy…and hope, hear our prayers. 

Evening

Reading : read the 2 verses again

Reflect on these words and then Pray in response for others, family, workplace
Father God, hear my evening prayer.

Morning

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Three in One

Reading : 1 Peter 2 verses 13-15

Meditation : carefully consider these particular words this morning.
What words stay with you?
What is God saying to you about living for Him?

then pray in response….with honesty and humility

O LORD our God,
Make me more like Jesus
And less of self
In my life
In this world
In the ways Your Word teaches.

Pray for the Leadership Team at LK – leading us in God’s Kingdom work
O LORD, hear our prayers

Evening

Reading : read the 3 verses again

Reflect on the words read and then pray in response, as the month ends.

LORD God, Father God, our God, hear our evening prayers
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done
And make us a People truly living for You
Above all others
