Pray for the General Assembly of Church of Scotland as it starts today

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : 1 Thessalonians 4 verses 1 and 2
Meditation : consider what is said here…and how God speak to you from these verses

And then Pray in response to live afresh to please God – even today
O God,
Hear my prayer
And help me I ask
To be more like Jesus
In every way.
Amen we pray together this new day.

Midday

Pray for the Church across our land to know Sunday blessings tomorrow
And for the General Assembly through this coming week.
O LORD, bless them all real good we ask and have your way among us.

Evening

Reading : read the 2 verses again

Reflect on these truths…. and then Pray to this God
LORD God, our God, hear our prayers.

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading :   1 Thessalonians 3 verses 11-13
Meditation : consider these verses…slowly….and what they say and mean to you today…

And then Pray them for yourself and for others on your prayer list
Amen – we pray together.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on the various Alpha groups in our churches at this time
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask 

Evening

Reading : read these 3 verses again

Reflect slowly on the words you have just read and pray in response
Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers.

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : 1 Thessalonians 3 verses 6-10
Meditation :   take time and consider Timothy’s report…..
Are the words true for you and me at this time?

then pray around the words of verse 10
(Pray your own words to the LORD God……..)
O LORD, hear our prayers.
Amen.

Midday

Pray for believers in Tanzania, where churches have been destroyed
Lord, hear our prayers and bless them real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read the verses again – esp verse 10

Reflect on how they apply to your life….
and Pray in response to God, for other believers you have not seen for a while
O LORD, hear our evening prayers

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : 1 Thessalonians 2 verse 17 – ch.3 verse 5
Meditation : consider Paul’s longings in these verses…

– and then pray in response for the words to be reality for you – and for others you know
O LORD our God,
Hear our prayers,
Move among Your Church afresh we ask
With Your grace and justice, mercy and forgiving love
And may we be careful
To give You all the praise and glory
As we see Your Kingdom come, Your will be done.
Amen and amen!

LORD, hear our prayers.

Evening

Reading : read Paul’s words here again

Reflect on what they teach you and then pray in response!
LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers.

Upper Room day

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : 1 Thessalonians 2 verses 1-16
Meditation : consider how God used Paul….

Pray to be used by God wherever He sends you – even today!
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words.
Thank you for a life surrendered to You.
Here I am.
Use even me I ask.

Father God, hear our prayers 

Evening

Reading : read verses 7-9 again

Reflect on these words…. and pray for your church leaders in response!
LORD God, our great God,
Bless those I name before You real good.
For all of today
I thank You.
As with my trust and hope in You alone,
Even for those things that cause me fear and concern at the end of this day,
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word.
In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.
