Tuesday Evening Prayer with Others

As we have stepped into a new month – with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from ROMANS chapter 7 verses 7-25

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer

We REJOICE in the blessings He has given this day

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Daily Devotions for Tuesday 1st February, 2022

Upper Room day – time out with God

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : ROMANS 7 verses 7-25

Meditation : consider this passage today… at the start of your day.
The Law and Sin.
What are you challenged/encouraged by from these verses?
What words stay with you?

And then Pray in response to what you have read
Taking time to thank God for His work in your life

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words
And now I pray for you to work them out
as a living reality in my life – even today
as I thank you that you are with me
on my journey through life.
O make me more like Jesus I ask
Even today.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
…..and respond to His voice….
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read the verses again from ROMANS 7 verses 7-25

Reflect prayerfully on these words…. And then pray as your day closes

LORD God, our great God,
Thank you for being there with me
For all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern.
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word
As I wait for tomorrow.
As I look around at this world
In these days.
Have mercy O Lord!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You are encouraged to continue to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world – and for parts of the world in turmoil at this time – including Afghanistan and Ukraine

For family and friends and neighbours

For the work of Christian Aid to be salt and light in our world

For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation

For our country and world leaders at this time
