Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from our God
Reading : EXODUS 20 verses 1-21
Meditation : take time to consider these familiar verses this morning.
Pause with this God as you consider all He said here.
Which words is He pointing to this morning?
And then Pray in response to what you read – to this God of ours.
Pray for all God’s people in our city, in our nation, in the world.
Pray for Gracemount to know God’s blessings today.

Be still and know
Be still my restless mind
Be still with God
Be still in this world
Be still in my life
Be still and trust God

Reading : read this passage again from EXODUS 20
Reflect on this God, your God, our God…. and then Call on Him in your evening Prayer
O LORD God, our God, receive our evening praise
For who You are!
For all you have done for us!
For your help and guidance even today!
And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our community, in our city, in these days.

On this first Friday in September…as the nation and the world wrestles with new cases and vaccine supplies…and other points of crisis and concern in our world are before us… you are invited to pause and continue to pray with others in our city and across the nation…to the LORD our God, our Father God.
You are encouraged to pray for all those affected by the coronavirus – in our community, in our nation and in our world
For family and friends and neighbours
For the people of New Orleans in these days of hurricane turmoil
For NHS and Care Home staff across the nation
For our country and our national leaders at this time of decision making
