Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : JOHN chapter 2 verses 12-25
Meditation : take time to consider these verses this morning
Jesus goes to the Temple.
Passover time.

What words stay with you?

Then take time to Pray in response
Looking again at verses 23-25 as your turn to prayer

In Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those who use our halls today
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy on each and all we ask

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from JOHN 2 verses 12-25
Reflect on the way Jesus acted and spoke
and pray in response to Him
Looking again at verses 23-25 at the end of your day

LORD God, Our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
And your help even this day
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who have sinned against us even today
As we bring ourselves and our world to you at the end of this day.
Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on magazine being distributed across our community
Father God, hear our prayers, open doors and give grace we ask

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from JOHN 1 verses 1-18
Reflect on the way God came to earth from heaven
and pray in response to Him

LORD God, Eternal and living God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
And your help even this day
As we bring ourselves and our world to you at the end of this day.

Evening Prayer with Others

As we step into the weekend….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from PSALM 77 – as we consider TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Friday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Ukraine and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Asking, seeking….receiving
Naming others in a place of suffering at this time

Father God, hear our prayers and bless this work in our nation we ask

Reflect on the words and images here and pray in response to this God

O LORD, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you
For all you have done for us

Help our unbelief
As we name others in a place of distress
