Meditation : take the time to consider these great words again today
Comfort my people
A voice cries out!

What words stay with you as you step into today?

Pray in response – to this God, the God of hope and comfort and forgiveness

Pray your own words at the start of this day
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of need – for yourself and others

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessings on Street Pastors on duty tonight in our city
O LORD, have mercy on each and all and give help we ask

Evening
Reading : read ISAIAH chapter 40 verses 1-8 again prayerfully at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pray to this God in response

LORD God, the LORD Almighty, hear my prayer this evening.
As I thank you for the blessings of this day
As I call out to you for others
As I lay myself and this world before you
Confessing my failures of this day
Trusting you for tomorrow
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

And then pray in response to the LORD our God
Pray your own prayer as you step into today.
Looking again at verses 6 and 7

In Jesus’ Wonderful Name, Amen.

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Evening

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow – the Second Sunday in Adevnt
