Daily Devotions for Friday 8th May, 2020

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : ACTS 2 verses 41-47

Meditation : consider these words this morning about the early Church.
What do they mean for you in your life?
How would you describe the prayer life of your church at this time?

And then Pray in response – as God leads you
Pray for your local church family
Pray for the Church in our world in these days

Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on the Ferniehill Church family
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy and bless them real good we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from ACTS 2
Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
And bring a blessing to those in your Church in these days we ask
Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come 2020

It’s a global prayer movement.

For our family and friends to meet with Jesus and experience the Kingdom of God in their lives.

For the Church and our world to see Thy Kingdom Come.

21st-31st May.

Each day there is a different theme to help us pray.
There will be videos posted daily from the TKC team on the website, YouTube and social media channels.

As a church, Liberton Kirk has registered to be a part of this.
You can too – at www.thykingdomcome.global

At 12 noon during the venture our Midday Prayer will be focussed on the daily theme.
On the 24th our Prayer Team will be meeting together to pray and chat.
On Tuesday 26th the Midday Upper Room time of prayer together will be available via Zoom and in the evening the Gathering for Prayer will focus on Thy Kingdom Come.

You are encouraged to be a part of this!
Need any more information…. please do contact TKC, Alastair, Susan or John.

A prayer from the TKC morning and evening prayer guide….
Almighty God,
your ascended Son has sent us into the world
to preach the good news of your kingdom:
inspire us with your Spirit
and fill our hearts with the fire of your love,
that all who hear your Word
may be drawn to you,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
