Meditation:  as we pause with God, we take time to consider these thoughts today:

Resurrection

Kingdom of God

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

 

Then Pause to Pray in response to this God who baptises in the Holy Spirit

 

Pray your own words at the start of this day

Praying for those you will love today

 

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on those in our SEECOS Care Team

God of grace and mercy and rich blessing, hear our prayers we ask.

 

Evening

Reading:  read these verses again from ACTS 1 verses 1-5

– in another version?

 

Reflect prayerfully on what you read and then pray to Father God in response

 

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,

Living, Giving God,

Show me each day proof of your resurrection,

Baptising me daily with your Holy Spirit

Reading :   ROMANS 8 verses 1-4

Meditation :   take time and consider this passage this particular Sunday morning.

 Spirit of life

And then pray in response:

Come Holy Spirit!

Fill me,

Now is Your time!

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

 

Midday

Pray the Prayer for the Month as your own midday prayer

 

Lord, fill our hearts with a thirst to share the message about Jesus,

Your Son, Our Messiah.

 

Fill us with the same passion of the early church,

to bring the message of salvation to the world.

 

Give us the strength to overcome any persecution we may encounter.

Hold us strong.

 Amen

 

 Evening

Reading :  read these particular verses again from ROMANS 8 verses 1-4

 Reflect on the words and then Pray in response to this God

 

O LORD, Father who sent His son,

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit,

With tongues of fire,

Like that first Pentecost.

May my lips never close,

Let me proclaim Your majesty and power to all,

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading :  REVELATON 5

For thine is the Kingdom!

Meditation: pause with Jesus and take time to consider these truths

And then Pray in response to this God

Blessing and honour,

Glory and power,

To the Lamb forever and ever,

We pray together this new day, Amen.

 

Midday

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

 

Our Father, who art in heaven

Hallowed be Your Name.

Your kingdom come

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread

And forgive us our sins

As we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation

But deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.

Now and for ever

Amen

 

Evening

Reading :  read the chapter again from REVELATON 5

Reflect on these particular words as your day ends….  and then Pray in response to Father God

 

Only you are worthy,

All blessings are given to you,

Only you should be honoured,

All glory is given to you,

Only you have the power over evil,

We honour the throne of the Lamb

Reading :   Ephesians 6 verses 10-20

Deliver us from evil!

Meditation :  take time and consider all that is said here.

God gives us armour

Jesus stood where we stand

The Holy Spirit prays with us

 

And then pray in response – as your day starts, put on God’s armour to face the day

Father God, hear our prayers and bless each and all, we ask in Jesus’ name, Amen

O LORD, hear our evening prayers

As we return our thanks to you

For all you have done for us

We will stand strong

In your Spirit

Be with those who are standing beside us

Testing and Temptaion

What is God teaching/reminding you?

What words stay with you?

 

And then pray in response – as your day starts

ask the Lord to help you require your temptations

 

 Pray your own words and request to the LORD our God.

Father God…hear our prayers and bless each and all we ask.

Reading :  read this passage again from JAMES 1 verses 12-18

Reflect on the words and images at the end of your day

and Pray in response to God  –  with words of faith and strength

 

O LORD, King of all kings

Hear our evening prayers

As we return our thanks to you

For all your good gifts to us

Help us to resist the temptations from the evil one

And to keep our focus on your gifts

Reading :   Matthew 5 verses 43-48

As we forgive others!

Meditation :  prayerfully consider these words afresh this morning

Enemies?

Neighbours?

Equality.

What words stays with you?

 

Then pray in response to this God of ours

Pray with honesty

Pray with humility

Pray God’s blessing on the Prayer Ministry Team members

O LORD, guide our words of prayer, supporting all who intercede for others.

As the Holy Spirit intercedes with groanings only You can hear,

our hearts raise up to you those in need.

Reading :  read the verses again from Matthew 5 verses 43-48

Reflect on the words you read and then pray in response

 

LORD God, our God

We bring to you, our family and friends,

But also those we feel persecuted by.

Help us love all, as you love them.
