Thy Kingdom Come at Midday

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world as we pray for 5 people we know to meet with Jesus!

Each Sunday at Midday we will re-visit one of the 11 daily themes.
This week it is SORRY – as we pause to offer our prayers of confession to Father God – and receive His forgiveness and cleansing and power to live more like Jesus

Daily Devotions for Sunday 20th June, 2021

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God
World Sanctuary Sunday/Refugee Sunday

Reading : DANIEL 9 verses 1-19

Meditation : take time and consider this Prayer of Daniel’s this Sunday morning.
What words stay with you?
Who is on your Sunday prayer list?

And then pray in response to Daniel’s God, this God of ours
Looking again at verse 4 and 5, 9 and 19 as you turn to prayer

O God of greatness
We bow before you
We believe in you
We trust in you
We confess our sins to you
We ask for your help
We call to you for our nation
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen

Reading : DANIEL chapter 6

Meditation : take the time to consider these words about Daniel and Prayer.
What are you encouraged and challenged by?
Which words stay with you as your day starts?

And then take time to Pray in response to this God
Looking again at verses 26 and 27
