Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Meditation : take time to consider these few verses this morning
Jesus calls four fishermen
Jesus teaches and heals

What words stay with you?
What is Jesus asking of you today?

Then take time to Pray in response
Humbly, honestly.

In Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen – we pray together.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on your neighbours at the start of this new year
Father God, hear our prayers, have mercy on each and all we ask

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from MATTHEW 4 verses 18-25
Reflect on what is said here
and pray in response to this Jesus

Lord Jesus,
Hear our evening prayers
As we return our sacrifice of praise for who you are
And your help even this day in leading us
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who have sinned against us even today
As we bring ourselves and our world to you at the end of this day.
And grant us Your peace we ask as we follow you more closely
Amen.

New Year’s Day Evening Prayer with Others

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes….

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Wednesday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of Syria, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Russia, Yemen and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

O LORD our God
Hear our cries this morning
Amen we pray together this new day.

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever
Amen
