What words stay with you today?
Is there someone who comes to mind as your consider these verses?

Then Pause to Pray in response to this Jesus we believe and trust in

Pray your own words at the start of this day
Naming others on a life journey at this time.
Naming others on a journey of need

Pray God’s blessing on believers in Egypt
God of grace and mercy and rich blessing, hear our prayers we ask.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from MATTHEW 6 verses 1-4
– in another version?
Reflect prayerfully on what you read and then pray to this Jesus in response

Lord Jesus,
Hear my evening prayer
As I lay myself and others in need before you at the end of this day
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Amen we pray together this new day.

Pray the Lord’s Prayer as your own midday prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our sins
As we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory.
Now and for ever

Examine me, O God, and know my mind;

For all your good gifts to us in Christ Jesus

And help us understand more of your Kingdom ways
