Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : ISAIAH chapter 11

Meditation : take the time to consider this passage today.
The Peaceful Kingdom.
Exiles will return.

What words or images stay with you?
What is God saying to you this morning about His ways?
What is your response to God’s Word today?

Pray in response – to our God , the God who is with us

Pray your own words at the start of this day
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of need – for yourself and others

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessings on the Church in our city
O LORD, have mercy we call out and pour rich blessings!

Evening
Reading : read the passage again prayerfully at the end of your day
Reflect….. and then pray to God in response

LORD God, the LORD Almighty, hear my prayer this evening.
As I thank you for the blessings of this day
As I call out to you for others
As I lay myself and this world before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

As a Church we were part of the global prayer venture – Thy Kingdom Come.

This prayer continues around the world!

And as we give it all back to you
May you continue to reach and save people
Through faith in Christ Jesus
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done across our world
In our community, in our city.

Reflect on the words you have just read and pray in response

Lord Jesus, hear our evening prayers as we respond to these words
Build your Church, Lord
Make us strong, Lord.
And bring a blessing to those in need this evening we ask.

Reading : ISAIAH 7 verses 1-25

Meditation : take time and carefully consider these particular verses.
A Message for King Ahaz.
Immanuel.

What do the words mean to you?
Which words stay with you as you turn to prayer?

Then pray in response to the LORD as your day starts
Giving thanks for Immanuel. God with us.
God with you.

In Jesus’ name. Amen and Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on colleagues and friends.
Name them one by one before God.
Lord, hear our prayers and bless each and all real good we ask.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in their lives

Evening
Reading : read these particular verses again from ISAIAH 7 verses 1-25
Reflect on the words spoken here – and what God is saying to you now.
Pray in response to this God who is the God Immanuel.

As we praise you for who You are
As we return our thanks to You.

As we lay all we are and have before You
