Thy Kingdom Come

As a church family we have been revisiting the 11 themes from the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture last Pentecost on a Saturday morning as we lead up to the 2020 venture before Pentecost this year…..May 21-31.

This morning we are invited to pause in these uncertain times and be still before God…and pray to Him ‘Thy Kingdom Come’

Take time to focus on His Kingdom Will and Purpose as your Saturday starts

Ask
Seek
Knock

And expect to see His Kingdom Come, His will being done in these days….
In our lives
In the lives of others we name before Him
In our community
In our Church
In our land
In our world

Thy Kingdom Come #sorry

As a church family at Liberton Kirk we have been revisiting the 11 themes from the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture earlier in the year. We are pausing to do so together on a Saturday morning.

This morning we are invited to pause and pray…with confession…as we say sorry to Father God.

Take time with Him

As you look back over the week

As you consider others in your life

As you ponder your relationship with Him at this time

Thy Kingdom Come #sorry

As part of our rhythm of daily and weekly prayer and devotion as a Church, we are revisiting the themes of the recent Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture on a Saturday morning at 9.05am.

We are called today to pause and pray in confession…saying sorry meaningfully to God
For the sins of this past week
For the ways we have hurt others
For the things we have not done
For the love we have not shown in Jesus’ name

We are also encouraged today to pause and pray for the Kingdom of God to be evidenced anew in our day. We are invited to pray for up to 5 people – family, friend, neighbour, colleague – to meet with Jesus.

Thy Kingdom Come #Praise

As part of our rhythm of daily and weekly prayer and devotion as a Church, we are revisiting the themes of the recent Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture on a Saturday morning.

We are called to pause and pray with praise..
For who the LORD God is
For what He has done in and through Christ Jesus
For the blessings He has given in this past week
For the handiwork of His Creation

We are also encouraged today to pause and pray for the Kingdom of God to be evidenced anew in our day. We are invited to pray for up to 5 people – family, friend, neighbour, colleague – to meet with Jesus.

Thy Kingdom Come Pray for 5

A big part of the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture – from Ascension Day until Pentecost on June 9th – is to pray for 5 people – family and friends and neighbours and colleagues – to meet with Jesus.

You are invited to join this wave of prayer happening all over the world.
You are invited to make a list of up to 5 people.
You are invited to pray each morning for them.

Almighty God,
your ascended Son has sent us into the world
to preach the good news of your kingdom:
inspire us with your Spirit
and fill our hearts with the fire of your love,
that all who hear your Word
may be drawn to you,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen we pray together.
