Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from God, the Holy Spirit

Reading : Isaiah 52 verse 13 – ch.53 verse 12

Meditation : take time to consider these verses again…and the One described.
What is God saying to you afresh today?              

and Pray in response to this God

O God of love and sacrifice,
Hear my morning prayer
Of wonder and praise
And by Your Spirit’s help
Make me more like this Jesus.
Amen we pray together.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on Church leaders in difficult places in our world
O LORD, hear our prayers we ask and bless them real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read the passage again

Reflect on the One described here and then Pray to Him
LORD God, our God, hear our prayers at the end of this day.

Reading :   Isaiah 53 verses 10-12

Meditation : consider the words here as your day starts.
Compare verse 10 to verse 12 – what do you take from them?
How is the Suffering Servant rewarded?

Pray to this Servant King this morning! 

Praise my soul
The King of heaven!
Hallelujahs sing to Jesus!
Risen and anointed One!

Amen – we sing out together.

Father God, hear our prayers and rescue them we ask 

Evening

Reading : read these words again from the end of chapter 53

Reflect on this God who was at work through Jesus and pray in response to Him
LORD, our God, hear our evening prayers.

Meditation :   take time and consider these words this morning.
What do they say to you about your God?
What is God saying to you today from them?     

then pray in response – with these verses before you

In confession and need to be more like Jesus,
For yourself and for others.)
O LORD, receive our morning praise and hear our prayers.

Reflect on what is said here, at the end of your day

Meditation : prayerfully consider these particular verses
Read again each verse.
What words stay with you?

then pray humbly in response to what you have read, as your day starts

O LORD God,
I am humbled and silenced
By what I read.
Thank you for the cross.
Thank you for a Saviour, Your own Son.
Forgive and cleanse me afresh
I must call out.
In Jesus’ Name,
