Pray to hear and receive from Jesus.

Reading : JOHN 16 verses 8-11
Meditation : consider how the Spirit is at work in our world…

Pray in response…..for the words to be a living reality in our times
O Spirit of God,
How we need You.
How our world needs You.
Hear our cry and move among our peoples
Our nations
Our leaders
O use us – even today
In Jesus’ name we ask- Amen.

Midday

Pray God’s blessing on those who feel everything is against them in life at this time
O LORD, hear our prayers. 

Evening

Reading : read Jesus’ words here in John 16 again

Reflect ….. and Pray in humble response
Spirit of the Living God, hear our evening prayers.

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from the LORD God

Reading :  JOHN 16 verses 5-11
Meditation :  take time and consider the Person and work of the Holy Spirit
as Jesus speaks here in his prayer…..what does it all mean for you?

And then Pray to learn from Him – even today
Spirit of God
Teach us
Lead us
Truly fill us
Use us – even us
That God’s kingdom comes, Your will is done.
Amen.

Midday

Pray the words of the Lord’s Prayer as your own prayer today
(the words can be found in Matthew chapter 6 and on LK website under Prayer tab)

Reading : read the verses again

Reflect on their meaning for you and then pray in response

Meditation : take time and consider Jesus’ words
What do they teach you about following Him?

Meditation :  take time to consider these words by Jesus
What do they say to you at this time? What do you have to do now?

Pray in response to this teaching
Lord Jesus
I read these words,
Teach me what it means for me to be your disciple
And how I should then live for You
In this world
Even this day.
Amen I pray.

Pray for all those grieving the loss of a loved one
O LORD God, hear our prayers and let your comfort flow we ask.

Evening

Reading : read verses 18-21 again

Reflect …. and pray to Jesus, our Lord

Meditation :   take time and consider these wonderful words by Jesus to His disciples…
What a friend we have in Jesus!

Pray in response to Him
O Lord,
Help us to make these words we read
A living reality…day by day…today,
With the help of Your Holy Spirit within us
For of ourselves we fail and fall
And let you down.
Amen we say together.

Take time to listen for the Lord to speak with you…..Friend to friend
Lord, thank you.

Reflect on these words again… and Pray in response, with thanksgiving

Words of worship and praise – for who God is
Words of trust and thanks – for what God has done today for you
