Pray for all in church leadership in the Church of Scotland.
God of the Church, thank you for our leaders.
God of the Church, bless all of our leaders,
God of the Church, use these our leaders
In our community, our city, our world.
Amen and Amen we cry.

Pray for those who govern our nation.

Evening
Reading : Hebrews 13 v 18
Reflect on what is a ‘clear conscience’ and pray in response.

Meditation :   consider how to offer a sacrifice of praise.
Pray in worship to your Living God.
LORD God, I bow before you this morning
And offer my time and actions and words and thoughts
To you in morning sacrifice.
Take them I pray
And be glorified in all the hours and moments of this particular day.

Pray for someone you know to meet with Jesus.

Reflect on the good done this day and give thanks!

Meditation :  consider our Great High Priest – Jesus.
Pray to Him in praise.
Thank you Jesus that you know what it is to live on earth
As Son of Man.
Thank you Jesus that you know what it is to suffer
Even as Son of God.
Thank you Jesus that you alone perfectly understand our prayers
As our wondrous High Priest.
Hear our morning prayers of praise.

Reflect on ‘the city that is to come’ and pray with hope!
Lord God, I thank you for the hope of the city that is to come.
Help me sleep in this hope at the end of this day.
I bring my praise, my prayers, my life
And I lay them all down before you.

Pray for time to spend with Jesus.
Lord Jesus,
Thank you that You were willing to spend Your time with people like me.
Help me to walk through this day with You,
Help me to take time and trouble to keep in step with You.

Say nothing – take time to listen to God to speak with you.

Evening
Reading : John 2 v 23
Reflect on what you wish you had seen Jesus do when He lived on earth.
Pray for open eyes to see Jesus at work nowadays.
