Pray to hear and receive from God our heavenly Father
Reading : Ephesians 1 verses 17-20
Meditation :  consider how much you know God and what the truths in these verses
say to you today

and then pray in response…to love God more…to know these truths as a living reality!

LORD, have mercy on us and hear our prayers.

Pray to hear and receive from the Holy Spirit.
Reading : 1 John 3 verse 1
Meditation : consider what it means to be adopted as a child of God

Pray in response to this loving-adopting-providing God
LORD God,
Father God,
Thank you for Your perfect love
And for adopting me into Your family.
Teach me how to please You, Abba, Father.

Pray for Edinburgh to experience God’s saving grace
God of mercy, hear our prayers!

Reflect on these verses… your day…and God’s faithfulness
And Pray in worship as the day closes

Pray to hear and receive from the Lord.
Reading :  Jeremiah 6 verse 16
Meditation : consider how near or far you are from God

Pray to live closer to Him more and more, even through today

Help me, I ask
To move closer to You today,
To hear Your voice
And to walk with You through this day.

Father God,

As I thank You for being a Perfect Heavenly Father
And all Your good gifts to me.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Pray a blessing from God on someone who has hurt you
Lord, hear my prayer and let Your compassion abound 

Evening

Reading : Psalm 119 verses 73-80

Reflect on these words and pray your evening prayer for others in need
LORD God, hear our prayers and have mercy on those we name before You.

 

Morning

Pray to hear and receive from Father God
Reading : Psalm 119 verses 65-72
Meditation : take time and consider verse 68 in particular – God is good, He does good
and therefore His laws are good.

Pray in response to this God, letting go of anything He says is not good….ask, listen, trust, let go!
Father God
Hear me
Help me
Make me more like Jesus
And less of self

Pray for those using the Upper Room today – time and space with God
Lord, hear our prayers

Evening

Reading : read verses 71 and 72 again

Reflect on these 2 verses again at the end of your day and then pray in response –

Meditation : consider God’s commands taught here…

And then take time to pray to keep in step, in the right direction, on God’s path, not distracted
LORD God
Hear my prayer
And help me to keep in step with the Holy Spirit, even this day.
Amen.

Pray with thanksgiving for your faith in God, through Jesus – thru all the ups and downs!
