Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus, Saviour and Lord

Reading : LUKE 14 verses 15-33
The Great Feast.
The Cost.
What do the words mean to you at this time?
What is God saying to you today?

Take time to Pray in response
Asking….seeking…knocking….

O Lord, our Lord
Help us understand your words
Help us be ready
Help us follow you more closely – even today
Amen and Amen.

Midday
Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day
Ask and seek and knock……and hear
Father God…thank you.

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from LUKE 14 verses 15-33
Reflect…. and then Pray as your day closes

God of truth and the God of today,
My God, our God,
Hear our evening prayers
As we thank you for your help today
As we journey from today to tomorrow
Seeking to be Jesus’ disciples in all we do
As we name others we care about before you
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Evening Prayer with Others

As we journey through this week….. with God – together – you may want to revisit today’s Daily Devotions from LUKE chapter 14 verses 7-14 – as we consider TELLING OTHERS THE GOOD NEWS about Jesus through 2023.

We PAUSE with the Lord in prayer as the day closes

We REJOICE in the help and blessings He has given this particular Monday – to us and to others

We ASK for His presence, peace and strength – for ourselves and for others in our church family and our nation and in our world at this time – especially prayerfully supporting the people of France, Russia, Ukraine and other parts of our world in deep need at this time

We YIELD – say Yes – to His Kingdom ways for tomorrow

Meditation : take the time to consider this psalm today as you journey into Holy Week.
Jesus.
A Pharisee’s house.
What words or images stay with you?
What is God saying to you this morning about His ways?
What is your response to God’s Word today?

Pray in response – to our God , the God who is with us – even in our homes

Pray your own words at the start of this day
Of praise and worship
Of confession and trust
Of need – for yourself and others

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray God’s blessings on starting StageNSlam, starting today
O LORD, have mercy on each and all and give help we ask

Evening
Reading : read the set passage again prayerfully at the end of your day

LORD God, the LORD Almighty, hear my prayer this evening.
