Daily Devotions for Sunday 10th November, 2019

Remembrance Sunday

Morning
Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from the Living God

Reading : PSALM 127

Meditation : take time and consider these words this particular Sunday morning.
What words or images stay with you?
What encourages and challenges you today?

And then pray in response to the LORD our God on this Sunday
Including for those who suffer and mourn at this time of remembrance

O LORD our God,
God of blessing
God of comfort
Receive our morning prayers
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Midday
Pray God’s blessing on those preaching in our land today
O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and pour out blessings we ask!

Evening
Reading : read these verses again from Psalm 127
Reflect on all that is said here in this short psalm and then Pray in response to this God
O LORD, our faithful God,
hear our evening prayers we ask
As we thank you for what we read
As we look back over our day
As we look ahead to tomorrow
As we name before you those who have struggled through this day
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thy Kingdom Come

As a Church we are revisiting the themes on a Saturday morning from the Thy Kingdom Come prayer venture earlier this year.

On this Saturday, at this particular time of the year, we are invited to pause and pray
for the Kingdom of God to be evidenced

in our lives

in our nation

in the lives of our family

in our world
