Pray God’s blessing on those without a home in our city at this time
O God of grace and mercy and hope, hear our prayers.

Reflect on what you read and then pray to this God in response on this Eve

O LORD, God of mercy, hear our cry and bless those we name we ask.

Evening
Reading : read this particular verse again from John 1.
Reflect on the words and images and then Pray in response to this God who sent Jesus
A Celtic Prayer
Eternal God,
You have lowered the canopy of night
And its gentle shadows cover us with your peace.
May the dews of heaven heal our wounds
And wash the tears from our eyes.
May the burning light of Christ banish for ever
The darkness from our souls,
That we may be at peace.

Thy Kingdom Come #Offer

In our land and across our world during the 10 days before Pentecost earlier this year believers and followers of Jesus were invited to pause and pray for the Kingdom of God to be experienced and evidenced anew. This was a venture created by God through the Archbishop of Canterbury and others.

As part of our daily devotional rhythm we are revisiting the 11 posts on our website and social media pages – each Saturday morning at 8am.

Today we are invited to pause in God’s presence – and bring Him our prayers – offering ourselves and our Church for His Kingdom purposes

Please take a few minutes to pray your prayers this morning.
Offer yourself – body, mind and spirit – and bank balance and possessions – time and talents.

O LORD our God
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done

God of grace and mercy…pour out a blessing we ask.

Reading : read the verse again from Luke 2
Reflect on the words and the Name of Jesus for a time….

Beautiful Saviour, Glorious Lord,
Emmanuel, God is with us,
Blessed Redeemer, living Word.
