Reading : JUDGES 15 verse 9 – chapter 16 verse 31
Meditation : take time and consider this passage about Samson.

What is God saying to you here at the start of your day?

LORD God,

I believe
Oh help me to be more like Jesus, the Servant King
In all my ways today.
In His name I ask, Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on those needing guidance and encouragement at this time
Father God, hear our prayers and bless them each real good we ask

Evening
Reading : read this passage again from Judges
Reflect on this God, who used Samson for His purposes, and then Pray in response to Him
LORD God, our God, hear our evening prayers, as we return our praise to You.

Reading : JUDGES chapters 6 and 7
Meditation : take time and consider these words about Gideon – and how God won a great victory in strange ways!
What do they say to you?
What is your response to God’s Word this morning?

and then pray in response to this God, our God

O LORD God,
As I read these words
Make them true in my life
As I lay my day before you.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Pray for a church elsewhere in our land to know Sunday blessings
O LORD, our God, hear our cry!

Evening
Reading : read the verses again about Gideon
Reflect on their meaning for you and then Pray in response, as your day ends
O LORD, hear our evening prayers we ask
As we seek your hand of victory even tomorrow.

In our land and across our world during May believers and followers of Jesus were being invited to pause and pray for the Kingdom of God to be experienced and evidenced anew. This was a venture created by God through the Archbishop of Canterbury and others.

As part of our daily devotional rhythm we are revisiting the 11 themes on our website and social media pages – each Saturday morning at 8am.

Today we are invited to pause in God’s presence – and bring Him our prayers – offering ourselves and our Church for His Kingdom purposes

Please take a few minutes to pray your prayers this morning.
Offer yourself – body, mind and spirit – and bank balance and possessions – time and talents.

O LORD our God
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
In Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen!

What is God saying to you today?
What is your response to Him?

and Pray in response to this God of ours

O God of yesteryear,
God of today and of tomorrow,
Hear my morning prayer
And by Your Spirit’s help
Make me a person who stays true to You
And Your Kingdom purposes
Even today.
Amen we pray together this new day.

For our world at this time

And trust in You for a victory.
Let Your mighty Holy Spirit work in and through me
As You are doing across the world.
