Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Jesus

Reading : PSALMS 42 and 43 

Meditation : consider these 2 psalms this morning.

What was the psalmist’s heart cry?
What words stay with you?
What is God saying to you today as your day starts? 

And then pray in response – with deep honesty – to our Saviour God

O LORD our God,
Forgive us,
Help us,
Hear us
And answer our deepest prayers,
As we work to see Your Kingdom come,
Your will being done above all else.
In Jesus’ name,

Amen and amen!

Pray God’s blessing on the Ministry Team at LK

LORD, hear our prayers and bless them all real good we ask.

Evening

Reading : read these 2 Psalms again

Humbly reflect on what you read and then pray in response – for yourself and for others in a dry and weary place at this time

LORD God, Father God, hear our many different prayers.
And bless all we name before you we ask.

In Jesus’ name,   Amen.

Upper Room day

Look Upward and Pray to hear and receive from Father God

Reading : PSALM 40

Meditation : consider what is said here…as you wait before God at the start of the day.  What words stay with you?  How will you put God’s Word into practice?

And then Pray in response to what you have read

Taking time to wait before God – or making a plan to do so when possible.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I have read these words
And now I pray for you to work them out
as a living reality in my life – even today.
In Jesus’ name.

Take time to listen for God to speak with you at this time of day

Read Psalm 40 somewhere in quietness…..and wait….

Father God…thank you. 

Evening

Reading : read the verses again from Psalm 40

Reflect prayerfully on these written words…. And then pray as your day closes

LORD God, our great God,
For all of today
I thank You,
Even for those things that have caused me fear and concern.
Help me to rest in Your unfailing love and on Your faithful Word
As I wait for tomorrow.

Meditation : take time to carefully consider this psalm of David’s as your day starts.  What is God saying to you today?

What is your response to Him and His Word?

Pray in response – for forgiveness

LORD God,
Have mercy on us we ask.
Give grace and forgiveness we call out.
And hear our morning prayers
That you might instruct and teach us
Even today.

In Jesus’ name,   Amen.

Pray God’s blessing on those in need of knowing God’s forgiveness

O LORD, hear our prayers at this time of day and have mercy we ask. 

Evening

Reading : read the verses again from Psalm 32

Reflect on their meaning for you and pray in response…to the God of truth and grace

O Living and True God, hear our evening prayers
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sinned against us even today.

In Jesus’ name,   Amen.

Reading : PSALM 24 

Meditation : take time to consider these words as your Sunday starts.

What is God saying to you today from his Word?
Look again at verses 3 and 4 this morning as you turn to God in prayer.

Pray in response to what you have read and considered 

O LORD God,
Holy, holy, holy.
Have mercy we ask
For in Christ alone we stand.
In Jesus’ name we ask to know your blessing.

Pray for a church near your home to know Sunday blessings

O LORD God, hear and answer our prayers.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Evening

Reading : read Psalm 24 again as your day ends

Reflect on the truths beyond the words and then Pray to our God …

O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, hear our evening prayers
As we return our thanks to you for the blessings of this day.
